“God’s Promise”

Anew

All of hue in the manner of speaking

The dream of our forefathers and martyred leaders

Those who believed in us

Seen enough to breathe in us a new song

For too long have we bought into madness

Labeled “savage” to be dragged in oppressive measures

Sever the ties to what bind hue

I find in hue a new thing to be cherished

The rarest of diamonds

A constant reminder of reflective surfaces

Your worth is light

The might of a Nation restored before the rising Sun

Something to behold with both eyes

I’d cry to witness

Distant shores to pour in an existence of the FREE

Received in kind by long lost relatives

Lifted sands from dances done in high spirits

A rhythmic tune to be carried by the highest winds

Cleansing waters

The purest in supply to satisfy the driest of thirsts

The birth of a new LOVE

Discovered at the grandest of family functions

As abundant as our mother’s heart for us

Thus, a new beginning

Teary eyed

I’d cry to witness hue all in crowns

I’d bow before your highness in humble regard

For hue all will resemble Royalty
